Agent transition – mid tenancy - 220 Room student property portfolio

Uni2 Rent were approached by a landlord with a portfolio of student 220 rooms mid-way through an existing tenancy. The portfolio was being mismanaged by their existing agent and needed a forward thinking, proactive and thorough agent to take control of the portfolio immediately.

Uni2 Rent had to transfer all tenant documentation, rental monies, deposit protection and other associated rental and management documents to our system seamlessly and managed to complete this within 7 days. We were hit with hurdles along the way such as lack of up-to-date compliance and significant rental arrears. Having a proactive team in place we were able to prioritise the compliance and communicate with both tenants and guarantors ensuring the accounts and compliance were brought up to date within a matter of weeks.

This shows, regardless of the situation a landlord finds themselves in, Uni2 Rent have the capacity and experience of staff to be able to turn things round and transition to Nottingham’s Number 1 Student Services provider with little or no disturbances to the landlord.

In November 2019 Uni2 Rent were approached by a London based investment fund to source suitable sites in and around Nottingham to meet their stringent investment criteria. They were looking for assets to achieve a 7% net yield with a budget of £4 million.
